MINUTES TO REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF TOWN OF BEAR CREEK
The Town Board of the Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Tuesday May 5,2009 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Marty McCluskey.
Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs, Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Ted Greenheck, and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.
The minutes to the last meeting were read by the clerk. Motion to approve was made by Harold Emerson, 2nd, and carried.
The treasurer’s report was presented by the treasurer. Motion to approve as presented by Harold Emerson, 2nd, and carried.
Road bids were published in the paper.
Board of Review for 2009 will be held at the Town Hall on Tuesday June 2,2009 at the Bear Creek Town Hall at 8:00 P.M. with a motion to adjourn to a later date. Set a new date and time. Posted on the front door of the Town Hall and published in the paper.
First half of the Town Insurance was paid to Rural Mutual Insurance in the amount of $3,975.50
Untaxed land report was sent directly to the assessor.
The Recycling Grants were completed and sent to the district and state.This is the compilation for the last year .
Fire bills were paid. 50% to Plain at this time. 75% to Town of Washington at this time.
Quick-Books program needs to be gotten for township for 2009.
Quarterly reports were completed and sent to state and federal offices.
Board proclaimed May 3rd through May 9th as Municipal Clerk’s Week.
Clerk’s and Treasurer’s Bonds were due to Statewide Services and paid.
Raymond Dederick’s Certified Survey Map was not approved to have a mobile home in Bear Creek. This was not approved by Smart Growth Committee and doesn’t fit Sauk County rules. Clerk to write letter to inform the surveyor.
Drafts for the driveway ordinances and land division ordinances are here for viewing by the board.
Jeff Scallon’s replacement on the Smart Growth Committee was discussed. Possibly a woman to be placed on the board. Bridget Flood to be asked.
Sandy Rott had a complaint that gravel washed into her land in a severe rain storm. No action taken.
Dave Gruber paid for a permit to replace a garage. He also had a complaint about his taxes. A reply was written by the board and sent to him on this matter.
Lurvey’s want to give the town some black dirt. This was discussed. No action taken at this time. Town may need a mining permit.
Overbeek’s on Bluebird Spur had some water damage during a hard rain. No action taken.
Broadband being looked into for internet in this area.
Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.
Motion to adjourn was made by Harold Emerson at 10:25 P.M. , 2nd ,and carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting.
