______1. Discussion of the road work to be completed this year. Progress and time
line.

______2. The Quarterly Reports are to be completed at this time and sent to their
respective offices.

______3. The Town Board is to be paid at this meeting.

______4. 2nd half of the real estate taxes are due July 31st.

______5. Assessor and Board held Board of Review on June 9 th. There were no
concerns.. .

______6. Planning Commission Committee members to be paid at the July meeting if
owed.

______7. The Federal Insurance Audit papers for Rural Mutual s have been completed.
Clerk completed the audit and submitted the papers and compilations.

______8. Because of Federal borrowing by the state wages of employees over
$25,000.00 in 2010 will be assessed an amount to return. Letter here. Will be
done in August.

______9. Drea’s Bar Licenses of Liquor and Beer, were issued to Pat McCluskey and
published in the papers. Check here and given to the treasurer. .

______10. The assessment after Board of Review is $6,941,500.00 . We are in
compliance.

______11.There will be no recycling grant money available to townships under 25,000
population in 2012 unless they join with another entity in a recycling program...

______12. A contract is here on signing up for 2010--2011 winter propane. Given to
Marty. Board looking into prices

______13. Managed Forest check came in the amount of $1,244.96. 20% to be returned
to the county.

______14. August meeting to be set for Tuesday August 2,2011.

______15. Clerk got the battery and electrical protection for the protection of equipment
at the town hall.

______16. The fire dues came and we have to be turn this over to the 2 fire departments.


______17. Any other business to come before the board

MINUTES JUNE 9, 2011


The 2011 Board of Review for the Town of Bear Creek was held June 9,2011 at
the Bear Creek Town Hall from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Present were Cal Magnan, Assessor; Marty McCluskey, Chairman; Harold
Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs, Treasurer ; and Eileen Eberle,
Clerk. Also arriving was Tim McCluskey,Patrolman
There were no hearings and no contestments of the assessments. We are in
compliance with our ratio.

The Town Board of the Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting
Thursday June 9, 2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at
7:30 P.M.by Chairman Marty McCluskey.

Present included Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon Supervisors; Tim
McCluskey, Patrolman; Sheila Tafs , Treasurer ; and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.

The Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read
was made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried.

The Treasurer’s report was presented by the treasurer. Motion to approve as
presented by Jeff Scallon , 2nd , and carried.

Road work for 2011 was discussed. Mowing being done and culvert work in
township.

Road bids will need to be let.. After July 1st

Bear Creek did its resolution for the redistricting of Bear Creek for the county
and state.

Drea’s Bar Licenses will be issued by the end of June for the coming year. Liquor
and beer for $200.00. Operator’s licenses for $5.00 each. Pat McCluskey is the owner
and it will be issued to him.

The Ward Cemetery Report is to be completed and sent to the county.

The 2010 propane contract is here and Marty to talk to company...


The next town meeting is July 7,2011.

The insurance audit to be completed and sent into the company.

The Clerk attended the District’s Recycling meeting in Cazenovia on June 6th..

Beverly Meilke, the County Clerk resigned her position and retired June 9th.

The Quick Books payroll program was paid for in May.

The mower payment was made.

Frontier tax exempt papers came and need to be completed.

The tobacco report needs to be completed and sent to the state. Even if we have no
tobacco sales.

The computer was examined at the Town Hall and the adapter was faulty. Clerk to
replace and then all works again. Some parts battery operated and some parts electrical.

Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:07 P.M. was made by Harold Emerson,
seconded , and carried. Chairman Marty McCluskey adjourned the June 2011 meeting of
the board.

_______1. Discussion on road work for the summer. Mowing also being done.

_______2. Recycling meeting held in Cazenovia on June 6th. Clerk attended.

_______3. Bear Creek to look over the county redistricting plan, adopt, return to county.

_______4. Insurance Audit needs to be completed and sent during this month. This
is for Workman’s Comp. and has to be all the wages for May to May , the
insurance year. Getting much more precise.

_______4. Beverly Mielke, Sauk County Clerk is retiring June 9th. Her term was
for 2 more years. A replacement will be done by the County Board.

_______5. Board of Review was tonight June 9th at 6:00 P.M.Each board member
will be paid $40.00 for the 2011 Board of Review.

_______6. A bill came from Jim Kast for $2,562.50 for work on the roads. Being paid
tonight.

_______7. The propane contract for 2011-2012 winter season is here and to
be signed and returned to the company..


_______8. The Ward Cemetery report to the county needs to be completed on the
veteran and sent to the county. This is perpetual care of David Ward’s grave,
provided by President Abraham Lincoln following those who gave their lives in
the Civil War for the Freedoms in our country..Was Sheley contacted on the
care of the Ward Cemetery for 2011?

_______9. The Quick-Books program was put on the clerk’s credit card billing as
May 30th . Given these funds at the May meeting.

_______10. The date for the July meeting will be July 5th.

_______11. Drea’s Bar has a request for a license. Pat McCluskey contacted the clerk
concerning this.

_______12. The sheet came in the housing report for 2011 and the building inspector,
Harold, is to complete this report.

_______13. Sheila to be paid for new checks ordered for the township.

_______14. The mower payment of $9,537.15 is due at this time and being paid tonight.

_______15. Frontier has tax exempt papers that need to be completed and
returned.
_______16. The tobacco report needs to be completed for the state, even if we have no
sales.
_______17. . Any other business approved by the board.

P.M. or to adjournment at the Town Hall . One time short form published.
One time long form to be published at least 15 days before Board of Review

_______5. Fire bills need to be paid at this time. 50% of amount needs to be paid to
Plain. 75% of amount needs to be paid to Town of Washington.

_______6. The Recycling Grant forms were completed and sent to the District Office.
This is the 2010 usage report and costs. We will get $1050.66 for recycling in
2011.

_______7. There are several workshops around the state for board members. One in
Richland Center on May 17th. At the Ramada Inn.

_______8. Open Book for 2011 was set for May 31st from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at
the Bear Creek Town Hall. Only the assessor needs to be there.

_______9. The Quick Books program needs to be gotten for the payroll . Clerk puts
this on her credit card and gives a bill to the board at the next meeting.


_______10. Several people calling for burning permits. Referred to Phyllis.

_______11.The recount is going on in Wisconsin for the Supreme Court race. All of our
papers are at Baraboo..

_______12. Proclaim May 1st through May7th as Municipal Clerk’s Week in
Bear Creek Township in Wisconsin..

_______13. The Clerk’s and Treasurer’s bond at Statewide Services is due in the
amount of $125.00.

_______14.The Anti-virus program to protect the Bear Creek programs is due for
$39.95. To be paid at this meeting.

________15. Sauk County is planning on redistricting the county. They will create a
map on this and hold hearings.

________16.Sauk County Planning and Zoning are now putting their information on
the e-mail. No letters. Also posted on County web page.

________17. General Engineering is adding a fuel surcharge to their bills due to the
high cost of gas.

Open Book and Board of Review for 2011

Notice is hereby given of the Open Book for 2011 for the Township of Bear Creek
,which will be held on Tuesday May 31 st from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Bear Creek
Town Hall.Any concerns of the assessments are to be addressed to the assessor at this
time. The Assessment Roll roll be available for viewing at this time.
Appointments may be made by calling Cal Magnan at 262-542-3332

Notice is hereby given of the Board of Review for 2011 of the Township of Bear
Creek in Sauk County will be held Thursday June 9th at 6:00 P.M. to8:00 P.M. or until
adjournment at the Bear Creek Town Hall, for the purpose of reviewing and examining
the assessment roll of real and personal property in the town, and all sworn statements
and valuations of real and personal property therein and correcting all errors in the roll,
whether in description of property or otherwise., and to perform such other duties as
imposed by the law.

Approved minutes to March 2011 Meeting

MINUTES TO REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF TOWN OF BEAR CREEK
The Town Board of the Town of Bear Creek held its Audit of the 2010
Clerk’s and
Treasurer’s books at 7:30 P.M. at the Bear Creek Town Hall on Tuesday
March 1, 2011.
This meeting was called to order by Chairman Marty McCluskey.
Present included Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors
;Sheila Tafs, Treasurer
; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.
Following the approval of the records, the Clerk’s and Treasurer’s
records were signed
by the board and recorded for 2010.

The Town Board of the Township of Bear Creek held its regular
monthly meeting
at the Bear Creek Town Hall Tuesday evening March 1, 2011 with the
meeting called to
order at 8:00P.M. by Chairman Marty McCluskey.

Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors;
Sheila Tafs,
Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Dan Fargen , Brent Winkers , and Eileen
Eberle, Clerk.

Minutes to the last meeting were read by the clerk. Motion to
approve as read by
Harold Emerson , seconded, and carried.

Treasurer’s report was presented by the treasurer. Motion to
approve as presented by
Jeff Scallon , 2nd, and carried.

The Form C State Report has been completed by the clerk and sent
registered mail to
the state.

The Township Annual Report for 2010 has been completed by the
clerk. These were
run and sent to the residents in March. Treasurer ran the labels for
these letters.

The April 5th General Election will need a 5 person election
board. Clerk to put
notice in the papers of the election and the testing of the equipment
for election day.The
testing will be Friday April 1st at 8:30 A.M. at the Town Hall..
The polls will be open
from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on election day.

The Township changed its April meeting to Wednesday April 6,
2011 at 8:00
P.M. This because of the election on Tuesday. This needs to be published.

The Township Annual Meeting will be held Tuesday April 12 th at
8:00 P.M. at
the Bear Creek Town Hall. This needs to be published in the paper .

The board needs to review the roads before the Annual Meeting ,
if the weather
permits this. .

Dan Fargen was on the agenda concerning the organized trail ride
for 2 times in 2011
in Bear Creek. He wants a longer trail ride and to go to White Mound Park..

The state housing report needs to be completed and was given to
Harold, the
building inspector for the township. .

Brent Winkers was on the agenda concerning his survey of his
property. Papers
were approved. These need to be passed by the Planning Commission before
comin-g to the board. .

Fire Audit forms were completed by the clerk and the fire
chiefs so we get the
fire dues.

Voter registration forms are here and we will continue to
complete these at the
Spring Elections.

We have 3 trained by the state for the election processes,
Phyllis , Judy, and Eileen to
be Chief Inspectors. Will get Lucille and Ken trained also in the
next 2 years..Clerk is
trained but doesn’t work at the elections as a poll worker , only in
emergency...

The PILT monies was distributed to the area schools and county..

Renewal of the Quick Books Payroll Program needs to be ordered .

The District Town’s Association meetings were held with Eileen,
Marty, Harold,
Sheila , and Jeff attending.

.The schools were paid for their February payment by February 20th..

The Spring Primary was held February 16th and there were 41 voters.

Eileen and Sheila attended the District Clerk’s meeting in Monona.

All bids on road projects have to be paid prevailing wages for
given areas, a new state
law.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made at 10:07 P.M. by Harold
Emerson , 2nd by
Jeff Scallon , and carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting.
