______1. Roads being done in the township for 2011. Discussion.

______2 . The signs for no carry need to be posted and a motion by the town to
have this ruled in the Town Hall.

______3. The new pay for retirement laws go into affect this month and the wages
of the patrolman and clerk need to be adjusted for these new rules..

______4..The budget needs to be started in October for 2012.

______5. The State Road report comes at this time and needs to be completed for funds
for roads..

______6.St. Patrick’s Catholic Church sent a request for a permit for their
fall festival This needs to be approved by the board . Was issued for September
18th. Cost of $5.00. Check here and given to Treasurer.

______7. The Recycling Grant papers for 2011 are on the computer. They need to be
run off and filled out and sent to the state and district by October 1, 2011. Clerk
to complete these and send to perspective departments..

______8. The current population for the township is 598. This is up almost 100 people
from the 2 000 census report..Sheet run for board

______9. The Rural Mutual Insurance Audit was completed and sent. The claim
bill is being handled by the insurance company.

______10.Charles Kohlman requested an operator’s license at a cost of $5.00 and
paid the $15.03 for publishing the Drea License for this year. Checks given
to treasurer. .

______11There is a Clean Sweep in Sauk County on October 1,2011. Posted on the
web site and copies here at the Town Hall for the board and others..

______12. .The dog list is to be completed for the year and sent to the county by the
treasurer.

______13.The equalized values comes for 2011 and the Clerk will run copies for the
board.

______14. Sauk County Plat Books are available at the county and check to be sent to
get these for our township...

______15..Harold and Eileen attended the Sauk County Town’s Association meeting in
August in Plain and Harold to report on this..

_____16..The grievance procedure process is here and a motion needs to be made to
put this in place in Bear Creek. It is in the Wisconsin Town’s Association
magazine and on the state web page.

______17.There is a fermentation program in the Reedsburg area during October.
Literature here for the board. This is a donation from Smithsonian in
Washington,D.C.

______18. The October meeting needs to be set.

September 1,2011 meeting of Town Board

The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of Bear Creek for September will be held Thursday September 1,2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall at 8:00 P.M. The date was changed to accomodate the board members and so that all could be in attendance.
Included on the agenda will be the resolution of the grievance procedure in the township, the posting of signs regarding the new carry law, the rules regarding retirement payable by the patrolman and the clerk with the new governor's rules, and any other business pertinent to this meeting.

Unapproved minutes to August meeting of Town Board



The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Thursday August 4,
2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by
Chairman Marty McCluskey.

Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs,
Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Kevin Roessler, Pat Anderson and Eileen Eberle,
Clerk.

Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read was
made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given by the treasurer.Motion to approve as presented by Jeff
Scallon , 2nd, and carried.

Road work being done was discussed. Bids were opened on the asphalt work to be
done on Bear Valley Road. Gasser had the low bid and was offered the contract for this.
Scott had the low bid on the sealcoating of Dane Hill Road and got this bid.

Kevin Roessler was present concerning a certified survey map of land he
purchased from Tim Drea and Pat McCluskey. Was approved by the board.

The State School Credit was received and credited to our account at Sauk County..

The Insurance Audit was completed and sent..

Final values for assessment in Bear Creek is $ 56,941,500.00 for 2011.

Consumer’s Co-op sent contract on the amount of billings of propane for the winter
season. Marty has the contract. Was signed and returned. Signed contract back in
township. Copies for the board.

The September meeting was set for September 1, 2011 on Thursday evening.

The recycling Grant for 2011 needs to be completed and sent in. It is in the computer

State Shared Revenue is to come this month.

New tax rules take place in August for the governor’s payment schedule.

The chairman is putting together the figures for the bridge program .

Lawrence Schlueter transferred his managed forest land to Jason Schlueter.

Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.

Motion was made at 9:10 P.M. by Sheila Tafs to adjourn the meeting, 2nd and
carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting.

Approved July Minutes to Bear Creek Town Board


MINUTES JULY 2011 TOWN OF BEAR CREEK REGULAR MEETING

The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Thursday July 7th,
2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by
Chairman Marty McCluskey.

Present included : Harold Emerson , Supervisor; Sheila Tafs,
Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Dan Fargen , and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.

Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read was
made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given by the treasurer.Motion to approve as presented by
Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried.

Road work being done was discussed..Culverts being put in and roadsides being
mowed. .

The Quarterly Reports are due at this time and to be completed in July by the
Clerk..

The Town Board was paid at the July meeting.

The Assessor and the Clerk have work on the town records at the county office
from the Board of Review . When finished these will then be forwarded to the state.

The Federal Insurance Audit has been completed for the IRS . .

Drea’s Bar licenses were issued to Pat McCliskey and paid for the year 2011. 2
operator’s licenses. No cigarette license .

The State Fire Dues are coming in July. These are now used for equipment . 90% to
be paid to Plain and 10% to be paid to Town of Washington.

Consumer’s Co-op sent contract on the amount of billings of propane for the winter
season. Marty had the contract. Harold made the motion to approve the contract , 2nd
and carried.The contract is in the amount of 2000 gallons. $3,698.00.

The August meeting was set for August 2, 2011

Dan Fargen was present to report on the trail ride of June 4th. Was a success. 25 mile
ride. 85% to 90% off road. Wants September ride.



Board of Review was held on Thursday June 9,2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
or adjournment. There were no concerns.

. The Directories for the county were obtained and distributed.

Chairman to publish the letting of the road bids for 2011.

2nd half of the real estate taxes are due as of July 31,2011.

Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.

Motion was made at 9:13 P.M. by Sheila Tafs to adjourn the meeting, 2nd and
carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting.

Fall Clean Sweep in Sauk County October 1, 2011

Notice to Sauk County Residents and Town of Bear Creek Residents. There will be a Fall Clean Sweep in Sauk County October 1, 2011 in LaValle at the Town Hall from 8:30 A.M. to Noon.
