______1. New budget for the year 2012 has been put into the computer. The updated
payroll figures for 2012 have been completed in the records. Social Security and
Medicare figures, plus some federal figures are new. State of Wisconsin stays the
same.

______2. The 1099s will be mailed out to the businesses we work with in Bear Creek.

______3. New Recycling charges are in effect as of January 1,2012..

______4. Meetings for the Township are $35.00 per meeting as of January 1, 2009.

______5. Quarterly reports are due for completion at this time. Also, the Federal and
State Reconciliation reports to IRS and State of Wisconsin. Clerk to complete
these. W-3 completed for Federal.

______6. Taxes for 2011 are being collected by the treasurer. New recycling sheets
available at the Town Hall for 2012. Also the Spring Newsletter.

______7. W-2s were completed by the clerk for the board and distributed at the January
2012 meeting.

______8, Highway Aid amounts in 2012 are $92,745.77. $23,186.44 is coming to Bear
Creek on January 3,2012..

______9. New Record Books for the Board were completed by the clerk for 2012.
These are to be distributed at the January meeting.

_______10. The Wisconsin Clerk’s Association dues are due now for $45.00..

_______11. Township Audit of Books of the Treasurer and Clerk needs to be set. Was
at March meeting last year. Clerk doesn’t have the December bank statement
or the numbers in the account register of early paid taxes as yet.

______12. The Town Board is to be paid at this meeting.

______13. An updated Quik Books program will need to be ordered for the township
records..This will include the payroll program and update Quick Books to 2012.

______14. The web site for the Town of Bear Creek is up and running. The address
is http://townofbearcreek.blogger.com

______15. The Planning Commission met and Chairman Ted Greenheck will present
their findings at this board meeting. He has a Certified Survey Map for Randy
Smith Property.

______16 An election survey came from the state on the last election and this is to be
completed by the clerk and returned to the State Election Board. An approximate
cost sheet had to be completed and sent to the state if a recall of the Governor is
held.

______17.The election machines are to be taken to Baraboo for cleaning and checking.
Company there to do these..

_______18. The February meeting needs to be set.

_______19. There could be an election in February on the 21st.

_______20. The District Town’s Association meeting for our area is Saturday February
17th at the White House Lodge in Richland Center. The agenda and time will
probably be in the January Town’s Association Magazine

_______21. Any other business to come before the board and pertinent to the town
board meetings.

______1. .Road work ,salt,sand, and bills for 2011 discussion...

______2.The new structures in the Township sheet is here and given to Harold..

______3. Numbers are here for the 2011 levies of taxes State school aid
amounts came and tax levies are complete and to the county on
December 2,2011. Clerk to complete the forms in the tax roll book and fill in
the statement of taxes for the state. This is due the 3rd Monday in December
to the state. Treasurer to mail out the taxes and set the collection times for
these. Taxes were up for the township

______4. The resolution of staying in the levy limit is to be signed.

______5.Clerk will have W-2s and Record books ready for board on January.

______6. The resolution of recycling needs to be signed and sent to state. Has to be in
our state file.

______7. The patrolman is to be given a Christmas Bonus..

______8. Smart Growth members are to be paid at the January meeting for the 4th
quarter of 2011.

_____9. The ballots were ordered for the February 21st and the April 3rd elections in
2012.

_____10. The sheet on the school levies, news for township has been completed and
will go out to the Township with the taxes. Also the 2012 sheets on recycling.
This is the Spring Newsletter. The web page address of :

_____11. The DNR needs a report completed on the levies for each of the schools,
county, township, and state, as this is how they base their DNR in lieu of taxes.
We don’t get this break if the sheet isn’t completed.

_____12. Clerk and some election help attended the training in Richland Center for
2012. Election board must be approved by the board for the next 2 years.

______13 The tax sheet for the state needed to be completed , signed, and sent to the
state.. That we stayed in compliance with the amount of our tax levy for the
township.

______14..The motion needs to be made to close the Township records as of December
31,2011 . This is a state law.

______15.The tobacco selling permit sheet for Bear Creek needs to be completed and
sent to the state..Even if we have no cigarettes being sold in the Township.Also
the tavern report needs to be sent to the state since the re-issuing a license for
Drea’s Bar.

______16.The town has some very big bills out yet for 2011. Bauer/Bindl and the roads.

______17.. Sauk County residents needing help with heat, repairs,, etc. have some
information sheets available at the town office.

______18. Garbage pick-up and recycling sheets are here.

______19.. Lottery Credit amounts and the new First Dollar amounts of credit are
here. Sheets run for the board.

evening. . The sheets will be distributed and board to go over these.. The
notices have been published and posted..

the tax notices.

______6. The dog collections reimbursement. This is paid to Sheila for
collecting the dog taxes.A check to be paid to her tonight if here from the
county.

______7. The fire departments are to be paid the rest of their levy for the year at this
meeting. Plain 50% and Town of Washington 25%.

______8. Rural Mutual Insurance is to be paid in the amount of $ 3,401.00 which is
half of the yearly premium.

______9. The Clerk and Treasurer attended a Clerk’s meeting October 27th in
Dodgeville..

_____10. The treasurer is getting $244.00 for stamps to mail out the taxes.

______11.A letter came on the amounts of raising the levy . 2011 is $813.00 higher
than last year,plus using $9,537.00 for s debt payment and $1,324.00 in
unused previous year’s levies.
We got a sheet on this from the state on how to tabulate our amounts.
Any carryover can be used the next year. Just that strict records need to be
kept on these amounts. Sheet is here and to be filled out after the budget is
approved. Amount of allowable from the state is $276,564.00 . We allowed
$7.00 for computer taxes and we should have allowed $9.94 so the Town Levy
is $276,561.04.

_____12. .Final population of Bear Creek in 2011 is 598. We have 468 registered
voters..

_____13. The special assessment sheet needs to be filled out for the county. This year
we have none.

______14. Check came for the Veteran’s grave at the Ward Cemetery. The amount of
$6.00. This is perpetual and provided by President Abraham Lincoln for those
who gave their lives for this nation.

______15. The December meeting needs to be set...

_______16. The Planning Commission needs to meet concerning the survey of Dan
Crook’s and Pat McCluskey’s survey.

November meetings of Bear Creek Town Board

Notice of 2012 Budget Meetings for Bear Creek Township
Notice is hereby given of the Township of Bear Creek meetings for the 2012 Budget of
the Township of Bear Creek. The budget is posted at the Town Hall and available for
viewing from any board member.

The public meeting with the Bear Creek Town Board of the Proposed 2012 Budget
Meeting for the Township will be held Thursday November 3,2011 at the Bear Creek
Town Hall at 8;00 P.M. At this meeting the Town Board will present their proposals for
2012. The Town Board is proposing the budget that is within the levies limited by the
state.

Immediately following the Proposed 2012 Budget Meeting will be the Public Hearing
of the 2012 Budget Proposals for Bear Creek. At this meeting all proposed amounts for
each entity will be discussed and reviewed.

After the Public Hearing the Town Board of Bear Creek will adopt the 2012 budget
for the Township of Bear Creek at the 2012 Bear Creek Budget Adoption Meeting..

Following these Budget Meetings on Thursday November 3,2011 the Regular
Monthly Meeting of the Township of Bear Creek will be held. The agenda will be posted.

Town of Bear Creek Planning Commission Meeting November 1,2011

The Town of Bear Creek Planning Commission will hold a meeting Tuesday November 1,2011 at 7:30 P.M. at the Bear Creek Town Hall concerning 2 certified surveys of property in Bear Creek. 1. Property of Dan Crook 2. Property of Pat McCluskey. These properties will be discussed and see if they are within the guidelines of the rules of Bear Creek and this board will make recommendations to the Town of Bear Creek Board of their findings.

Minutes to Town Board Meeting October 6,2011

MINUTES October 6, 2011 TOWN OF BEAR CREEK REGULAR MEETING

The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Thursday October
6th, 2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by
Chairman Marty McCluskey.

Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs,
Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Peter Crook, Daniel Crook, and Eileen Eberle,
Clerk.

Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read was
made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given by the treasurer.Motion to approve as presented by
Jeff Scallon , 2nd, and carried.

Road work being done was discussed. .

The recycling grant application for 2012 was completed by the clerk before October
1,2011.

The board was paid at this meeting.

The rest of the fire bills are due in November. The rate for 2012 is .053%

Quarterly reports are due at this time.

The November town board meeting was set for Thursday November 3, 2011 due
to Jeff being in Iowa on Tuesday. .

The budget was to be started and sheets were distributed to the board but a
special meeting was called for Thursday October 20th at 8:00 P.M. for putting
together the budget proposals for the 2012 Budget.

.The Board will meet at 8:00 P.M. on November 3rd for the Budget Proposal Meeting,
followed by the Budget Hearing Meeting, followed by the Budget Adoption Meeting.
Then the regular monthly meeting will be held.

2nd half of insurance is due in November.

The State Shared Revenue came .

Shelly Scallon was paid for the care of the Ward Cemetery.
.
There will be a Clerk’s and Treasurer’s meeting in Dodgeville on October 27th and
both the Clerk and Treasurer will attend. this year..

Pete and Dan Crook were present concerning a survey map and projects on their
property. Materials were forwarded to Ted Greenheck of the Planning Commission of the
Town..

A notice came of Mary Nachreiner needing to do some work on her septic system in
Bear Creek.

A motion was made by Harold Emerson for the Township to start paying the
Patrolman’s Family Insurance as of January 1, 2012. This to be paid in 2 six month
installments of January and July . The motion was 2nd and carried.

New plat books were obtained for the board.

The Weston School District wants representatives at their October 31st meeting.
Marty may go.

Veronica Schmidt notified her concerns of Garvey Road to the board.

Mary Kohlman was issued a bar tenders license on a motion by Harold Emerson and
approved by the board.

A directory is being completed and will include Bear Creek.

Notice was given that Barry Walsh has put up a shed on his property without going
through the proper channels for construction in Sauk County and the Township .

Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.

Motion was made at 9:05 P.M. by Jeff Scallon to adjourn the meeting, 2nd and
carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting.

New Town Resolutions



New resolutions were passed at the September meeting of the Bear Creek Town Board .
These include: 1. A motion was made and passed that signs be posted in the Town Buildings stating it is unlawful to carry weapons into these buildings. ( New state mandate)

2. A resolution was passed on the grievance procedure to be used with employees in the Township. A motion was made and passed and the greiveance proceedure goes into effect on October 1,2011.

3. The new law went into effect concerning the employees paying more of their retirement and this started with the current paychecks for the patrolman and the clerk.

4. The township approved a five year contract with Town and Country Sanitation and the rate starting January 1,2012 will be $11.50 per year per household for both the recycling and the curbside garbage pick-up. (Up from current $10.47)

Approved August Agenda Town of Bear Creek Board



The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Thursday August 4,
2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by
Chairman Marty McCluskey.

Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs,
Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Kevin Roessler, Pat Anderson and Eileen Eberle,
Clerk.

Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read was
made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given by the treasurer.Motion to approve as presented by Jeff
Scallon , 2nd, and carried.

Road work being done was discussed. Bids were opened on the asphalt work to be
done on Bear Valley Road. Gasser had the low bid and was offered the contract for this.
Scott had the low bid on the sealcoating of Dane Hill Road and got this bid.

Kevin Roessler was present concerning a certified survey map of land he
purchased from Tim Drea and Pat McCluskey. Was approved by the board.

The State School Credit was received and credited to our account at Sauk County..

The Insurance Audit was completed and sent..

Final values for assessment in Bear Creek is $ 56,941,500.00 for 2011.

Consumer’s Co-op sent contract on the amount of billings of propane for the winter
season. Marty has the contract. Was signed and returned. Signed contract back in
township. Copies for the board.

The September meeting was set for September 1, 2011 on Thursday evening.

The recycling Grant for 2011 needs to be completed and sent in. It is in the computer

State Shared Revenue is to come this month.

New tax rules take place in August for the governor’s payment schedule.

The chairman is putting together the figures for the bridge program .

Lawrence Schlueter transferred his managed forest land to Jason Schlueter.

Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.

Motion was made at 9:10 P.M. by Sheila Tafs to adjourn the meeting, 2nd and
carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting.

______6.St. Patrick’s Catholic Church sent a request for a permit for their
fall festival This needs to be approved by the board . Was issued for September
18th. Cost of $5.00. Check here and given to Treasurer.

run off and filled out and sent to the state and district by October 1, 2011. Clerk
to complete these and send to perspective departments..

______8. The current population for the township is 598. This is up almost 100 people
from the 2 000 census report..Sheet run for board

September 1,2011 meeting of Town Board

The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of Bear Creek for September will be held Thursday September 1,2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall at 8:00 P.M. The date was changed to accomodate the board members and so that all could be in attendance.
Included on the agenda will be the resolution of the grievance procedure in the township, the posting of signs regarding the new carry law, the rules regarding retirement payable by the patrolman and the clerk with the new governor's rules, and any other business pertinent to this meeting.

Unapproved minutes to August meeting of Town Board



The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Thursday August 4,
2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by
Chairman Marty McCluskey.

Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read was
made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given by the treasurer.Motion to approve as presented by Jeff
Scallon , 2nd, and carried.

Road work being done was discussed. Bids were opened on the asphalt work to be
done on Bear Valley Road. Gasser had the low bid and was offered the contract for this.
Scott had the low bid on the sealcoating of Dane Hill Road and got this bid.

Kevin Roessler was present concerning a certified survey map of land he
purchased from Tim Drea and Pat McCluskey. Was approved by the board.

The State School Credit was received and credited to our account at Sauk County..

The Insurance Audit was completed and sent..

Final values for assessment in Bear Creek is $ 56,941,500.00 for 2011.

Consumer’s Co-op sent contract on the amount of billings of propane for the winter
season. Marty has the contract. Was signed and returned. Signed contract back in
township. Copies for the board.

The September meeting was set for September 1, 2011 on Thursday evening.

The recycling Grant for 2011 needs to be completed and sent in. It is in the computer

State Shared Revenue is to come this month.

New tax rules take place in August for the governor’s payment schedule.

The chairman is putting together the figures for the bridge program .

Lawrence Schlueter transferred his managed forest land to Jason Schlueter.

Approved July Minutes to Bear Creek Town Board


MINUTES JULY 2011 TOWN OF BEAR CREEK REGULAR MEETING

The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Thursday July 7th,
2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by
Chairman Marty McCluskey.

The Assessor and the Clerk have work on the town records at the county office
from the Board of Review . When finished these will then be forwarded to the state.

The Federal Insurance Audit has been completed for the IRS . .

operator’s licenses. No cigarette license .

The State Fire Dues are coming in July. These are now used for equipment . 90% to
be paid to Plain and 10% to be paid to Town of Washington.

MINUTES JULY 2011 TOWN OF BEAR CREEK REGULAR MEETING

The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Thursday July 7th,

Approved Minutes of Town Board

MINUTES TO REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF TOWN OF BEAR CREEK

The Town Board of the Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting
Tuesday May 3,2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at
8:00 P.M. by Harold Emerson.

Present included : Harold Emerson , Supervisor; Sheila Tafs, Treasurer; Tim
McCluskey, Patrolman; , and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.
The checks were signed and approved by Harold and signed by Sheila. Marty was
called and signed the checks on Wednesday and the May bills were paid.
The clerk scanned the agenda and said there was nothing pressing, so it was held over
until the date of May 12,2011 when the full board could be present.
Harold dismissed the group and the meeting is set for May 12th.

The Town Board of the Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting
Thursday May 12,2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at
8:00 P.M. by Chairman Marty McCluskey..

The minutes to the last meeting were read by the clerk. Motion to approve was made
by Harold Emerson, 2nd, and carried.

The treasurer’s report was presented by the treasurer. Motion to approve as presented
by Jeff Scallon , 2nd, and carried.

Road bids were published in the paper.

Board of Review for 201 will be held at the Town Hall on Thursday June 9,2011 at
the Bear Creek Town Hall at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. or until adjournment. Posted at the
Town Hall and published in the paper.

First half of the Town Insurance was paid to Rural Mutual Insurance

Untaxed land report was sent directly to the assessor.

The Recycling Grants were completed and sent to the district and state.This is the
compilation for the last year .

Fire bills were paid. 50% to Plain at this time. 75% to Town of Washington at this
time.
Quick-Books program needs to be gotten for township for 2011.Will be billed on
clerk’s credit card on May 30th.

Quarterly reports were completed and sent to state and federal offices.

Board proclaimed May 1st through May 7th as Municipal Clerk’s Week.

Clerk’s and Treasurer’s Bonds were due to Statewide Services and paid.

Open Book was to be held May 31st at the Town Hall from 4:00P.M. to
7:00P.M. Only the assessor needs to be present.

Publish next month’s meeting as it will follow the Board of Review, so all can be
present.

Culvert were ordered for roadwork in the township.

Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.

Motion to adjourn was made by Sheila Tafs at 8:49 P.M. , 2nd ,and carried.
Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting.

MINUTES JUNE 9, 2011


The 2011 Board of Review for the Town of Bear Creek was held June 9,2011 at
the Bear Creek Town Hall from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Present were Cal Magnan, Assessor; Marty McCluskey, Chairman; Harold
Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs, Treasurer ; and Eileen Eberle,
Clerk. Also arriving was Tim McCluskey,Patrolman
There were no hearings and no contestments of the assessments. We are in
compliance with our ratio.

The Town Board of the Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting
Thursday June 9, 2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at
7:30 P.M.by Chairman Marty McCluskey.

Present included Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon Supervisors; Tim
McCluskey, Patrolman; Sheila Tafs , Treasurer ; and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.

The Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read
was made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried.

The Treasurer’s report was presented by the treasurer. Motion to approve as
presented by Jeff Scallon , 2nd , and carried.

Road work for 2011 was discussed. Mowing being done and culvert work in
township.

Road bids will need to be let.. After July 1st

Bear Creek did its resolution for the redistricting of Bear Creek for the county
and state.

Drea’s Bar Licenses will be issued by the end of June for the coming year. Liquor
and beer for $200.00. Operator’s licenses for $5.00 each. Pat McCluskey is the owner
and it will be issued to him.

The Ward Cemetery Report is to be completed and sent to the county.

The 2010 propane contract is here and Marty to talk to company...


The next town meeting is July 7,2011.

The insurance audit to be completed and sent into the company.

The Clerk attended the District’s Recycling meeting in Cazenovia on June 6th..

Beverly Meilke, the County Clerk resigned her position and retired June 9th.

The Quick Books payroll program was paid for in May.

The mower payment was made.

Frontier tax exempt papers came and need to be completed.

The tobacco report needs to be completed and sent to the state. Even if we have no
tobacco sales.

The computer was examined at the Town Hall and the adapter was faulty. Clerk to
replace and then all works again. Some parts battery operated and some parts electrical.

Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:07 P.M. was made by Harold Emerson,
seconded , and carried. Chairman Marty McCluskey adjourned the June 2011 meeting of
the board.

tonight.

_______7. The propane contract for 2011-2012 winter season is here and to
be signed and returned to the company..


_______8. The Ward Cemetery report to the county needs to be completed on the
veteran and sent to the county. This is perpetual care of David Ward’s grave,
provided by President Abraham Lincoln following those who gave their lives in
the Civil War for the Freedoms in our country..Was Sheley contacted on the
care of the Ward Cemetery for 2011?

_______9. The Quick-Books program was put on the clerk’s credit card billing as
May 30th . Given these funds at the May meeting.

_______10. The date for the July meeting will be July 5th.

_______11. Drea’s Bar has a request for a license. Pat McCluskey contacted the clerk
concerning this.

_______12. The sheet came in the housing report for 2011 and the building inspector,
Harold, is to complete this report.

_______13. Sheila to be paid for new checks ordered for the township.

_______14. The mower payment of $9,537.15 is due at this time and being paid tonight.

Approved minutes to March 2011 Meeting

MINUTES TO REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF TOWN OF BEAR CREEK
The Town Board of the Town of Bear Creek held its Audit of the 2010
Clerk’s and
Treasurer’s books at 7:30 P.M. at the Bear Creek Town Hall on Tuesday
March 1, 2011.
This meeting was called to order by Chairman Marty McCluskey.
Present included Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors
;Sheila Tafs, Treasurer
; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.
Following the approval of the records, the Clerk’s and Treasurer’s
records were signed
by the board and recorded for 2010.

The Town Board of the Township of Bear Creek held its regular
monthly meeting
at the Bear Creek Town Hall Tuesday evening March 1, 2011 with the
meeting called to
order at 8:00P.M. by Chairman Marty McCluskey.

Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors;
Sheila Tafs,
Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Dan Fargen , Brent Winkers , and Eileen
Eberle, Clerk.

Minutes to the last meeting were read by the clerk. Motion to
approve as read by
Harold Emerson , seconded, and carried.

Treasurer’s report was presented by the treasurer. Motion to
approve as presented by
Jeff Scallon , 2nd, and carried.

The Form C State Report has been completed by the clerk and sent
registered mail to
the state.

The Township Annual Report for 2010 has been completed by the
clerk. These were
run and sent to the residents in March. Treasurer ran the labels for
these letters.

The April 5th General Election will need a 5 person election
board. Clerk to put
notice in the papers of the election and the testing of the equipment
for election day.The
testing will be Friday April 1st at 8:30 A.M. at the Town Hall..
The polls will be open
from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on election day.

The Township changed its April meeting to Wednesday April 6,
2011 at 8:00
P.M. This because of the election on Tuesday. This needs to be published.

The Township Annual Meeting will be held Tuesday April 12 th at
8:00 P.M. at
the Bear Creek Town Hall. This needs to be published in the paper .

The board needs to review the roads before the Annual Meeting ,
if the weather
permits this. .

Dan Fargen was on the agenda concerning the organized trail ride
for 2 times in 2011
in Bear Creek. He wants a longer trail ride and to go to White Mound Park..

The state housing report needs to be completed and was given to
Harold, the
building inspector for the township. .

Brent Winkers was on the agenda concerning his survey of his
property. Papers
were approved. These need to be passed by the Planning Commission before
comin-g to the board. .

Fire Audit forms were completed by the clerk and the fire
chiefs so we get the
fire dues.

Voter registration forms are here and we will continue to
complete these at the
Spring Elections.

We have 3 trained by the state for the election processes,
Phyllis , Judy, and Eileen to
be Chief Inspectors. Will get Lucille and Ken trained also in the
next 2 years..Clerk is
trained but doesn’t work at the elections as a poll worker , only in
emergency...

The PILT monies was distributed to the area schools and county..

Renewal of the Quick Books Payroll Program needs to be ordered .

The District Town’s Association meetings were held with Eileen,
Marty, Harold,
Sheila , and Jeff attending.

.The schools were paid for their February payment by February 20th..

The Spring Primary was held February 16th and there were 41 voters.

Eileen and Sheila attended the District Clerk’s meeting in Monona.

All bids on road projects have to be paid prevailing wages for
given areas, a new state
law.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made at 10:07 P.M. by Harold
Emerson , 2nd by
Jeff Scallon , and carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting.

takes time. Testing meeting
of equipment was held Friday April 1st at the Town
Hall. Checks for
this group to be signed tonight.

_______2. Township Annual 2011 Meeting will be held Tuesday April
12,2011at the
Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting to be called to
order at 8:00 P.M. The
meeting will discuss the roads to be repaired in 2011and
any other business
pertinent to the meeting. This was published and posted.

_______3.A date needs to be set for the board to view the roads for
the spring of 2011
with the patrolman..

_______4. The Town Board is to be paid at this meeting.

_______5. Meeting changed to Wednesday evening due to the election
on Tuesday.

_______6. The Planning Commission will meet at the e Town Hall with Ted
Greenheck .Concerning Dan Crook land and a building
project. Dan requested
coming before the board on this.

_______7. The Annual Financial Reports for the Township for 2010
were run and
sent to the residents in March. A newsletter was put
together and distributed at
the election and sent with taxes. More will be
available at the Annual Meeting.

_______8. The State Form C is completed and sent to the state by March
31,2011 and
the clerk sent it registered mail. We have the verified
notice of the state
receiving the report.

_______9. Quik Books update for the payroll needs to be sent for and
will be here by
April.The cost will be $299.00.

_______10. The quarterly reports are due at this time.

_______11. The Clerk got the new laptop for the town and has the new Quick Books
Program installed in there. We need to have the
technical support program
of $149.00 . Billing is here tonight for the laptop and
programs installed in
this.
________12. The school districts have to be given a complete roll of
the election to each
district. We have to run over 50 sheets of records for
each of the 3 districts.
These have to have a certification of the Clerk to be
legal. New rules of the
state. This is Ithaca, River Valley, and Weston.
Books came for Weston and
Ithaca, and we used those for those districts.

________13.Dan Fargen requested being on the board concerning an ATV
ride in the
township this summer. He wants a longer ride and to go
to White Mound Park.

________14. A road rating report is due on the town roads is usually
due at this time..

________15. Wisconsin Town’s Association dues are due for $398.00 and
will be paid
at this meeting. They also need the names ,
addresses, phone numbers and
offices of each member of the board. Clerk to
complete this and send in after
the election on April 6th..

________16. The fire bills are due May 1st. 1/2 for Plain and 3/4 for Town of
Washington .Also fire reports for the state were to
be completed by the clerk
and fire-chiefs. This has been done online and
completed by all 3 places
involved.

________17.Lottery credit checks are due now. We only get ours
anymore. The county
sends the others to the respective places..

________18. The State Recycling Report is to be completed and sent to
the State by
April 30,2011. Get these papers online now. Clerk has
run these.

________19. The Township Insurance at Rural Mutual is due May 1,2011. The
coverage papers are here.

________20. Don Fleming requested being on the agenda concerning an ATV ride in
his area. This is different than Dan Fargen’s . He
wants to go to Bear
Valley.
________21. A dividend check came from Consumer’s Co-op for $35.22 and
given to the
trearurer.

Sauk County Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep June 4,2011

Attention;
There will be a hazardous waste clean sweep to properly dispose of hazardous wastes on Saturday June 4,2011 at the Sauk County Landfill at E8795B Evergreen Lane , Baraboo,Wisconsin from 8:30 A.M. until Noon..
There will be FREE disposal of lead based and latex paints; waste motor oil and oil filters; unused pesticides; batteries; light bulbs; and other solvents. (A list is available at the Town Hall ot information from any town board member.)

MINUTES TO REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF TOWN OF BEAR CREEK
The Town of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Tuesday February 1st, 2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall, with the meeting called to order at 6:00 P. M. by Chairman Marty McCluskey. (Called early due to bad storm in the area. Blizzard conditions.)
Present included :Harold Emerson and Jeffrey Scallon, Supervisors, Sheila Tafs , treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman, Dan Fargen , and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.
Minutes were presented by the Clerk. Motion to approve as presented by Harold Emerson, 2nd, and carried.
Treasurer’s report was presented by the Treasurer. Motion to approve as presented by Jeffrey Scallon, 2nd, and carried.
Roads were discussed concerning salt and sand. Regular winter roads.
Spring Primary Election to be Tuesday February 15th. We will use a 3 person board .. Was published and posted. There was a training session for the election board on Saturday February 12th at the Town Hall.
Checks are to go to the schools on February 20th of the monies paid in January. Sheila needed a check to pay the dogs dues.

The Clerk’s and the Treasurer’s books for 2010 are to be audited at the March 1,2011 meeting due ..Time of meeting is 7:30 P.M.
The Clerk is working on the Township Annual Report and these will be mailed to the residents after the books have been audited. She is also working on the Form C Report for the state. This is due March 31st.
The area District’s Town’s Association meetings are to be held and Bear Creek is having 5 attend on March 5th at Wisconsin Dells..
Harold met with the assessor on new construction in Bear Creek .
The tobacco report was completed and mailed.
Dan Fargen was present to request having ATV rides in the Township using the roads as part of the trail. Marty to check about insurance and police approval. Letter to be signed by the board and on the March agenda. Adding more mileage to the trail ride.
All board members were nominated to their respective offices at the January Caucus and will be on the ballots in April..
Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.
Motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:10 P.M. was made by Sheila Tafs , 2nd , and carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting.

(We had one of the worst storms in our area in over 20 years and schools were all closed the next day. We did the business required and got all home safely. Reason for the emergency time of the meeting. The Chairman checked that all were home Safe.)

_______4. The April 5th Spring General Election will need a 5 person board. Clerk
will meet with this group on Friday April 1st , 2011 to test the equipment
and make sure all is in readiness for this election. This will be at 8:30 A.M.
This needs to be published. Polls will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Article to be published at newspaper.
_______5. The Township will need to change its next meeting (April) as this is the same
as the election day.
_______6. The Town Annual Meeting has been set for Tuesday April 12,2011 at 8:00
P.M. at the Bear Creek Town Hall. Needs an agenda and published.
_______7. Dan Fargen is on the agenda concerning having an ATV trail ride 2 times in
2011 using the road in Bear Creek on part of the ride. Papers of approval need to
be signed. Chairman to look into liability of Township. Adding a longer route.
_______8. A time needs to be set for the Board to Review the Roads in April before the
Town Annual Meeting.
_______9.Brent Winkers is on the agenda concerning a certified survey map of his
property division. This needs to go to the Planning Commission before going to
our board.
_______10. The PILT money was distributed to the schools and county..
_______11. Housing report to the state needs to be completed. Clerk to get information
from the building inspector, Harold Emerson.
_______12. Fire Audit forms need to be filled out by the clerk and sent to the 2 chiefs
and forwarded to the state for the 2% fire dues.. The fire chiefs need to do this.
_______13 Recycling sheets are available for residents who don’t get tax bills. Several
have made requests.
_______14.The checks were written for the schools and mailed out by February 20th.
This is the money collected in January for the schools.
_______15. Eileen attended the District Clerk’s training meeting in Monona on
February 23rd.
_______16..Several people are looking at the winery on Strang Hollow Road. Clerk filled
out 2 reports to title holder companies. A couple from England called about
services in our area.
_______17. Town Board to attend District Town’s Association meetings at
Wisconsin Dells March 5th. These start at 8:00 A.M.. Speakers start at 8:45
A.M.
_______18. All bids for construction now need to include prevailing wages for our
area. Board will be instructed on this at the area Town’s Association
meetings.
_______19. The Spring Primary was held February 15th and there were 37 voters.
_______20. .The Emergency Management Program forms need to be completed and
returned to the county.

With the national news and weather service quoting blizzard conditions for our area ,an emergency meeting time was called by the Bear Creek Town Board for 6:00 P.M. instead of 8:00 P.M. on February 1st.
The roads and weather were at blizzaed conditions, the meeting adjourned at 7:10 and all members of the board got home safely,with the men checking that each got home safe. All business before the board and on the agenda was completed.
All schools and most businesses were closed the next day and our area got about 12 inches of snow and gusts of wind at 40 miles per hour. Really an old-fashioned winter weather with about 12 below zero today and most schools on a 2 hour delay. Stay warm and safe.

MINUTES TO REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF TOWN OF BEAR CREEK
Tuesday January 4, 2011 8:00 P.M. Bear Creek Town Hall
The Town Board of the Township of Bear Creek held its regular
monthly meeting Tuesday January 4, 2011 at the Bear Creek Town
Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman
Marty McCluskey.
Present included Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon , Supervisors;
Sheila Tafs, Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; and Eileen Eberle,Clerk.
Minutes to the last meeting were read by the clerk. Motion to approve as read was made by Harold Emerson, 2nd, and carried.
The treasurer’s report was presented by the treasurer. Motion to
approve as presented was made by Jeff Scallon , 2nd, and carried.
The early paid taxes amounts need to go to the schools , state,
and county needs their monies from this by January 15th, with these checks needing to be made out and sent by that time.
New budget for 2011 was completed and placed in the computer.
The 1099’s were mailed to our businesses.
A set of statute books was obtained and given to the chairman.
Quarterly reports were due at this time. W-2’s were completed and
distributed to the board. Federal and State Reconciliation’s were completed, and the W-3 report.
Taxes for 2010 are being collected by the treasurer. New recycling
sheets are here for 2011 and distributed by Sheila when collecting taxes.
New record books for the board’s 2011 records were completed by the clerk and distributed to the board.
The Township Audit of the books of the Clerk and Treasurer needs to be set.
Ross and Teresa Halverson were present for a permit to start a rug hooking business in the town. Permit was issued.
Assessor was in the township to update the town for 2011.
The Town Board was paid for the 4th quarter of 2010 at this
meeting.
The township has the sand for the winter.
An election survey came from the state and was completed by the
clerk,and returned to the state.
The Wisconsin Clerk’s Association dues were paid in the amount of
$45.00.
Clerk to compile the retirement figures for 2010 and get to the treasurer , so they can be done electronically.
Supervisor Harold Emerson fell and broke his hip and is coming great
An updated Quick Books program needs to be ordered for 2011. This will be for the payroll program..
The DNR report was completed and sent to the state of the levies and the mill rates. This gets us our reimbursement from the DNR.
The Statement of Taxes was completed and sent to the county and state. Also the Certification of the tax book completed and sent to the county and the book given to the treasurer.
Next meeting of the Town Board will be Tuesday February 1st,2011 at 8:00 P.M.
The board needs to be registered for the District Town’s Association
meetings for the spring Town’s Association meetings. The board will go to Wisconsin Dells in March .
The web site for Bear Creek is up and running. The address is
http://townofbearcreek.blogspot.com.It runs for free and was put together by Mike Eberle. It has the agendas. minutes, notices, etc. for information to the town residents..
The bills were paid as presented and approved by the board. The
schools will be paid on January 15th with the early paid tax money due them.

Tuesday February 1, 2011 8:00 P.M. at Bear Creek Town Hall
______1. Discussion of the roads. Use of salt,sand,etc. Bad winter weather conditions.
______2. Spring Primary Election to be held Tuesday February 15th from 7:00 A.M. to
8:00 P.M. at the Bear Creek Town Hall..Will need to use a 3 person board. Will
publish and have the public testing of the voting machines on Saturday
February 12th at 8:30 A.M..
______3. Checks need to be written to the schools (5) by February 15th of the tax
money paid in January. Sheila needs checks to settle with the county for the
county and state and the dogs. Also checks need to be written for the DNR
money in lieu of taxes to MATC, River Valley, county and state.
______4. Dan Fargen requests being on the agenda for trail rides for 2011..
______5. Audit of the Clerk’s and Treasurer’s books for 2010 has to be set for
the March Town Board Meeting .
______6. The board needs to register for the Wisconsin Town’s Association meeting
March 5th at the Dells...
______7,. The Clerk is working on the Township Annual Report for 2010 and starting
the State Form C State Report that is due March 1,2011. We can distribute
the Township Annual Reports in March.
______8. Ballots are not in the township as of January 25th. Should be here..
______9..The April 5th meeting of the Town Board will have to be changed due to the
Spring General Election being on that day.
______10.Following the Caucus, all of the current board members will be on the April
5th ballot for their respective offices. .
______11. The 2010 Quick Books payroll program needs to be ordered this spring..
______12. The Clerk will attend the Spring meeting of the Wisconsin Clerk’s
Association in Monona Wednesday February 23rd..
______13.The Township has to register with the state at a cost of $10.00.
______14.We are paying the State and Federal monthly deposits for withholding
online..Also the retirement amounts are online
______15. Any other business to come before the board.
