______1. Roads being done in the township for 2010. Discussion.
______2 The Fall Primary Election will be held Tuesday September 14,2010 at the
Town Hall with the polls open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. United States
,State , County, and various legislative office are to be voted. Party
preference.
______3. Stationery is here to use for town business..
______4..The budget needs to be started in October for 2011.
______5. The State Road report is here and needs to be completed for funds for roads..
______6.St. Patrick’s Catholic Church sent a request for a permit for their
fall festival This needs to be approved by the board and issued for September
19th. Cost of $5.00. Check here and given to Treasurer.
______7. The Recycling Grant papers for 2010 are on the computer. They need to be
run off and filled out and sent to the state and district by October 1, 2010. Clerk
to complete these and send to perspective departments..
______8. The current population for the township is 590. This is up almost 100 people
from the 2 000 census report..
______9. The Rural Mutual Insurance Audit was completed and sent. The cut cable
bill is being handled by the insurance company.
______10.The IRS says we have an overpayment of $13.75 for the last quarter..
______11. The managed forest land has 111 acres added from Donald Nachreiner..
______12. .The dog list is to be completed for the year and sent to the county by the
treasurer.
______13.The equalized values came for 2010 and Clerk to run copies for the board.
______14. Sauk County Directories are available at the county..
______15..A letter came saying we are members of the Farm Bureau. There is a wallet
card for someone to have. Probably the Chairman.
_____16.The Road Seminars are being held in Wisconsin.
______17. The wind power rulings for Wisconsin are available in packets of over 100
pages if anyone wants these.

Minutes to August 2010 Town Board meeting
The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Tuesday August 3, 2010 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Marty McCluskey.
Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs, Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Ted Greenheck, Joe Bauer, Pat Anderson and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.
Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read was made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried.
Treasurer’s report was given by the treasurer.Motion to approve as presented by Jeff Scallon , 2nd, and carried.
Road work being done was discussed. Bids were opened on the asphalt work to be done on Bear Valley Road. Scott had the low bid and was offered the contract for this.
Joe Bauer was present concerning times of working the quarry and a letter composed by Ted Greenheck was signed by the board and to be presented to the county of these concerns.
The State School Credit was received and credited to our account at Sauk County..
A cable damage report was given to the insurance company.
Dan Reutten didn’t pay his special assessments and a letter was sent to the state on this, as they had concerns..
The Insurance Audit was completed .
Final values for assessment in Bear Creek is $ 57,197,200.00 for 2010.
Consumer’s Co-op sent contract on the amount of billings of propane for the winter season. Marty has the contract. Was signed and returned. Signed contract back in township. Copies for the board.

Approved July Minutes of Bear Creek 2010
MINUTES JULY 2010 TOWN OF BEAR CREEK REGULAR MEETING
The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Tuesday July 6th, 2010 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Marty McCluskey.
Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs, Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Ted Greenheck, Dan Fargen , Joe Bauer; and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.
Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read was made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried.
Treasurer’s report was given by the treasurer.Motion to approve as presented by
Jeff Scallon , 2nd, and carried.
Road work being done was discussed..Culverts being put in and roadsides being mowed. Lake Road being done in conjunction with the Town of Franklin. Bauer doing the gravel . Scott doing the road work..
The Quarterly Reports are due at this time and to be completed in July by the Clerk..
The Town Board was paid at the July meeting.
The Assessor and the Clerk have work on the town records at the county office from the Board of Review . When finished these will then be forwarded to the state.
The Federal Insurance Audit has been completed for the IRS . .
Lawrence Drea’s licenses were issued and paid for the year 2010. 3 operator’s licenses. No cigarette license .
The State Fire Dues are coming in July. These are now used for equipment . 90% to be paid to Plain and 10% to be paid to Town of Washington.
Consumer’s Co-op sent contract on the amount of billings of propane for the winter season. Marty had the contract. Harold made the motion to approve the contract , 2nd and carried.The contract is in the amount of 2000 gallons. $3,098.00. With funds still available of $53.96 the actual check issued was $3,044.04..
The August meeting was set for August 3, 2010
Joe Bauer was present concerning restrictions on the quarry. Marty to look into this. A letter to be written to County Planning and Zoning of this concern.
Ted Greenheck was present concerning Matt Brickl’s driveway that has to be proven it is in the correct limit of elevation. Also for the wages to be presented for the Planning Commission Board.
Dan Fargen was present concerning the ATV ride on Bear Creek with one to be held September 11,2010 . Lunch to be served by St. Patrick’s Youth Group.
Board of Review was held on Thursday June 10,2010 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. or adjournment. There were no concerns.
The County sent their approval of trail rides for UTVs. Same as State rules.
The Chairman requested copies of improvement to road bills for filing for funds. .
2nd half of the real estate taxes are due as of July 31,2010.
Dan Fargen was sent a bill of $ 291.92 of the costs of the hearing meeting approval, meeting, and publishing of notices of the ATV rides in the Township.
A get well card was sent from the board to Emmogene Emerson, wife of Harold, who was ill.
A new phone was discussed for the patrolman. Marty to look into this. Also, the possibility of Internet at the Town Hall.
Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.

` MINUTES JUNE 1, 2010
The Town Board of Bear Creek met at 7:30 P.M. June 1, 2010 for a Public Hearing on having 1 day ATV rides in Bear Creek. Present included Marty McCluskey, Harold Emerson, Jeff Scallon,Sheila Tafs, Don Fleming, Howard Marklein, Dan Fargen, Mary Fargen, Bid Thompson ,and Eileen Eberle.
Following discussion and no objections a motion was made by Hatold Emerson to approve the ordinance for the 1 day trail rides, it was 2nd, and carried. Copies to be sent to the Sheriff’s Department and the DNR. This will be in force 30 days after approval and posting of this ordinance.

Drea’s Bar Licenses will be issued by the end of June for the coming year. Liquor and beer for $200.00. Operator’s licenses for $5.00 each.
The Ward Cemetery Report is to be completed and sent to the county.
The 2010 propane contract is here and Marty to talk to company...
The next town meeting is July ,2010.

The Clerk attended the District’s Clerk’s meeting in Madison on May 20th.
Marty is looking into the fencing concern between Reed Horton and Frank Sandlin.
The Quick Books payroll program was paid for in May.
A letter of approval of the streambank project in Bear Creek was signed and sent to the Aldo Leopold Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
The retirement payments each month will be done electronically as of May 2010.
Matt Brickl’s driveway may be too steep for the firedepartment. Ted to check this.
Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.
Motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:40 P.M. was made by Sheila Tafs, seconded , and carried. Chairman Marty McCluskey adjourned the June 2010 meeting of the board.

______5. Assessor and Board held Board of Review on June 10th. There were no
concerns.. .
______6. Smart Growth Committee members to be paid at the July meeting. .
______7. The Federal Insurance Audit papers for Rural Mutual s have been completed.
Clerk completed the audit and submitted the papers and compilations.
______8. Joe Bauer requests being on the agenda due to restrictions being put on him
by the county. The county stating they have this power due to the
comprehensive Plan in the township.
______9. Lawrence Drea’s Licenses of Liquor and Beer, were issued and
published in the papers. Check here and given to the treasurer. Larry will be 93

______10. The County sent their approval of the UTV Trail ride proposal of the state.

Upcoming meetings of Township
The Township of Bear Creek will hold the 2010 Board of Review at the Bear Creek Town Hall on Thursday June 10,2010 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. or until adjournment to hear concerns of assessments.
The next Town Board monthly meeting will be held at the Bear Creek Town Hall on Tuesday July 6th at 8:00 P.M.

MINUTES TO REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF TOWN OF BEAR CREEK
The Town Board of the Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Tuesday May 4,2010 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Marty McCluskey.
Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs, Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Ted Greenheck, Tom Gowle , Reed Horkan , Dan Fargen , and Eileen Eberle, Clerk.
The minutes to the last meeting were read by the clerk. Motion to approve was made by Harold Emerson, 2nd, and carried.
The treasurer’s report was presented by the treasurer. Motion to approve as presented by Jeff Scallon , 2nd, and carried.
Road bids were published in the paper.
Board of Review for 2010 will be held at the Town Hall on Thursday June 10,2010 at the Bear Creek Town Hall at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. or until adjournment. Posted at the Town Hall and published in the paper.
First half of the Town Insurance was paid to Rural Mutual Insurance
Untaxed land report was sent directly to the assessor.
The Recycling Grants were completed and sent to the district and state.This is the compilation for the last year .
Fire bills were paid. 50% to Plain at this time. 75% to Town of Washington at this time.
Quick-Books program needs to be gotten for township for 2010.Will be billed on clerk’s credit card on May 30th.
Quarterly reports were completed and sent to state and federal offices.
Board proclaimed May 2nd through May 8th as Municipal Clerk’s Week.
Clerk’s and Treasurer’s Bonds were due to Statewide Services and paid.
Reed Horton was present concerning fencing between his land and a neighbor. He wants town to proceed with action against this neighbor to have a fence completed. Marty taking care of this.Sheila got the addresses for this from her records..
Dan Fargen was present to get a hearing on his proposed trail ride in Bear Creek. This has been posted, in the paper, and on the agenda for 7:30 P.M. on June 1st at the Town Hall.
Joe Bauer was on the agenda for a special exemption permit for his quarry in the township.
Open Book was to be held May 20th at the Town Hall from 3:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. Only the assessor needs to be present.
The Clerk is to attend the District Clerk’s meeting in Madison on May 20th.
Dan Reutten’s special taxes have not been paid and we had a letter from the state on this.
Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board.
Motion to adjourn was made by Harold Emerson at 10:25 P.M. , 2nd ,and carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting.
