Needs to be officially done on the agenda. ______3.The check came for the veteran’s grave at the Ward Cemetery. Given to Sheila. Thanks to President Abraham Lincoln.. Shelly needs to be paid for the care of this cemetery. ______4. The budget is to be started for 2013 . The sheets will be completed following the paying of the October bills, including the payroll of the board. A date needs to be set for the meeting to start the budget. for 2013. Edie Eberle was here in September to help set up the budget. ______5..The rest of the fire bills are to be paid in November for 2012.. ______6 The Shared Revenue comes in November.The amount is $6,220.00. 2013 shared revenue is the same as 2012. ______7..The November meeting needs to be set as the election is on the regular night. ______8. Town Board to be paid at this meeting. ______9. .Planning Commission members should be paid for this quarter.,if any is due... ______10. Quarterly reports are due at this time to state and federal. ______11. The recycling grant application was completed on the computer for 2013 We were notified of its completion correctly done. ______12. Saturday October 6,2012 Clean Sweep in Sauk County

to undisclosed recipients Sauk County will host a Clean Sweep Program to dispose of hazardous wastes on Saturday, October 6, from 8:30 a.m.- noon at the former Sauk County Landfill, located at E8795B Evergreen Lane, Baraboo. Commercial entities and farm operations in Sauk County that qualify as Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQGs) of hazardous waste are eligible to participate and are required to preregister by September 26. There is a fee for commercial entities but not for farm operations. The attached flyer and poster have more information on what will be accepted. Please feel free to distribute these, post them, or publicize the event in any way you can. Also, attached are two handouts that list alternative disposal options. These can also be found on the county website at: https://www.co.sauk.wi.us/cpz/hazardous-waste-clean-sweep If you would like hard copies, please let me know. Approved minutes of August 2012 Town Board meeting of Bear Creek

The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Tuesday August 7, 2012 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Marty McCluskey. Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs, Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Kevin Roessler, Don Fleming, Bob Fleming, Dan Fargen ,and Eileen Eberle, Clerk. Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read was made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried. Treasurer’s report was given by the treasurer.Motion to approve as presented by Jeff Scallon , 2nd, and carried. Road work being done was discussed. . . Kevin Roessler was present concerning a certified survey map of a house he is building His paper work being done was approved and forwarded to the Planning Commission.. The State School Credit was received and credited to our account at Sauk County.. The Insurance Audit was completed and sent.. Final values for assessment in Bear Creek is $ 56,910,500.00 for 2012. Consumer’s Co-op sent contract on the amount of billings of propane for the winter season. Marty has the contract. Was signed and returned. Signed contract back in township. Copies for the board. The September meeting was set for September 4, 2012 on Tuesday evening. The recycling Grant for 2012 needs to be completed and sent in. It is in the computer State Shared Revenue is to come this month. The chairman is putting together the figures for the bridge program . Dan Fargen and Don Fleming were present concerning ATV rides in the town. Each has some different views and wants of their rides. Were told to work out their differences and the ordinance was not changed. 3 rides per year in the town and no new areas aproved. There was a Partisan Primary in the Township on August 14th and we had 89 voters. Th touch screen had problems at the end of the day and Ken is trying to rectify this, along with help from the company. We used 5 members on the election board. We had 1 overseas ballot sent and returned email. There were some bad wind storms and many trees down in the township. The area paper asked the clerk to write some of her duties as clerk and an article is being put together on area clerks by the paper. A survey came concerning property of Walter Powell and this was forwarded to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board. Motion was made at 9:53 P.M. by Jeff Scallon to adjourn the meeting, 2nd and carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting. Roads being done in the township for 2012. Discussion. ______2 . Planning Commission will meet at 7:00 P.M. tonight and report to board on their decisions of the business before that board. Ted to report on this. Walter Powell survey and Robert Needham wanting to rezone a dump area. ______3. Concern about Cottage businesses in the town. What is allowed?? ______4..The budget needs to be started in October for 2013. ______5. The State Road report comes at this time and needs to be completed for funds for roads. This is sent to the Chairman. ______6.The County Directories will no longer be printed by the county. They are on the computer and available to the residents. ______7. The Recycling Grant papers for 2013 are on the computer. They need to be run off and filled out and sent to the state and district by October 1, 2012. Clerk to complete these and send to perspective departments.. ______8. The current population for the township is 598. This is up almost 100 people from the 2 000 census report.. ______9. The Rural Mutual Insurance Audit was completed and sent . The bill extra for the year is $188.00 ______10. Drea’s Tavern license was questioned by the state. Clerk has a call into Pat McCluskey on this matter. License for this year of a state permit number needed by the state. ______11.A proof petition list for Managed Forest Land for 2012 is here and copies run for the board. ______12. .The dog list is to be completed for the year and sent to the county by the treasurer. ______13.The equalized values comes for 2012 and the Clerk will run copies for the board. ______14. Sauk County Plat Books are available at the county ... ______15 .The clerk issued Ken Blum a key to the town hall so he could get in to work on the voting equipment, so all is ready for the Presidential Election in November.. _____16..Scarey night in Bear Creek Sunday August 26th. Approved Minutes to July 2012 Town Board Meeting for Bear Creek Township

MINUTES JULY 2012 TOWN OF BEAR CREEK REGULAR MEETING The Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Thursday July 5th, 2012 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Marty McCluskey. Present included : Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs, Treasurer; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Scott,Inc. rep., and Eileen Eberle, Clerk. Minutes to the last meeting were dispensed with on a motion by Harold Emerson due to the extreme heat . Motion to approve as presented was made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried. Treasurer’s report was given by the treasurer.Motion to approve as presented by Jeff Scallon , 2nd, and carried. Road work being done was discussed..Culverts being put in and roadsides being mowed. . The Quarterly Reports are due at this time and to be completed in July by the Clerk.. The Town Board was paid at the July meeting. The Assessor and the Clerk have work on the town records at the county office from the Board of Review . When finished these will then be forwarded to the state. The Federal Insurance Audit has been completed for the IRS . . Drea’s Bar licenses were issued to Pat McCliskey and paid for the year 2012. 4 operator’s licenses. No cigarette license . The State Fire Dues are coming in July. These are now used for equipment . 90% to be paid to Plain and 10% to be paid to Town of Washington. Consumer’s Co-op sent contract on the amount of billings of propane for the winter season. Marty had the contract. Harold made the motion to approve the contract , 2nd and carried.The contract is in the amount of 2000 gallons. The August meeting was set for August 7, 2012 The Plain Fire Department issued a no fireworks on the 4th in Bear Creek due to the drought. Board of Review was held on Thursday June 7,2012 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. or adjournment. There were no concerns. . Chairman to published the letting of the road bids for 2012 and these were opened. sealcoating low bid was by Scott at $15,816.00 per mile. Asphalt low bid was Gasser’s at 104,620.00 per mile. Nachreiner Road was to be improved some during this summer.. 2nd half of the real estate taxes are due as of July 31,2012. The assessment following Board of Review is $56,910,500.00. Surveyor Ted Greenheck brought a driveway application to the board from Margaret Seymore and this was approved. Tim McCluskey has an air-conditioner the town can use for the hot weather. St. Patrick’s was issued a 1 day license for their festival. Were notified of a licensed bartender must be on duty all the time beer is sold. Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board. Motion was made at 9:08 P.M. by Sheila Tafs to adjourn the meeting, 2nd and carried. Chairman McCluskey adjourned the meeting. AGENDA FOR REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF BEAR CREEK AUGUST2012 Tuesday August 7, 2012 Call meeting to order Roll Call Minutes to last meeting Treasurer’s report ______1. Don Fleming requests being on the agenda as a rep of the Sauk Ridge Runners trail riders to have a trail ride in Bear Creek. He wants to donate funds to a non-profit organization. He has some concerns of the other trail ride that was accepted ______2. The State School Credit check should come this month. All to be returned to the county for taxes.. ______3. Requests are coming in for absentee ballots, including 1 sent by email to Rome. Joe was here and he showed me how to scan and attach documents. ______4. Roads being done in the township for 2012. Discussion. . ______5. The Chairman compiled papers and reports to get the funds for the culverts.etc. for the Trip Fund . ______6. The IRS contacted the town due to the extra funds Tim has taken out each month and it was accounted differently at IRS. Clerk sent figures and explanation of this account in Bear Creek. ______7. The Recycling Grant papers for 2012 are on the computer. They need to be run off and filled out and sent to the state and district by October 1, 2012. Clerk to complete these and send to perspective departments.. ______8. There will be an election on August 14th. The Fall Primary. We will use a 5 person election board so all are ready for the Presidential Election in November. ______9. The Rural Mutual Insurance Audit was completed .. ______10.The signed propane contract is here. ______11. The State Shared Revenue payment is to come at this time.. ______12. There was a bad storm this month and many trees across roads in the Township. Tim took care of this. ______13. The State Trust Fund contacted the Town on the 2010 account that Tim had put in too much money. It was the $100.00 that he had put in each month before the governor said both had to pay equal, town and employee. This is now rectified and in the account as Tim’s contribution. ______14. .The Clerk wrote answers to questions for the newspaper concerning her job a s Clerk of Bear Creek _____15..A registered letter came in the hearing of a building being changed to commercial for storage. MINUTES JUNE 7, 2012 The 2012 Board of Review for the Town of Bear Creek was held June 7,2012 at the Bear Creek Town Hall from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Present were Cal Magnan, Assessor; Marty McCluskey, Chairman; Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon, Supervisors; Sheila Tafs, Treasurer ; and Eileen Eberle, Clerk. Also arriving was Tim McCluskey,Patrolman There were no hearings and no contestments of the assessments. We are in compliance with our ratio. The Town Board of the Township of Bear Creek held its regular monthly meeting Thursday June 9, 2011 at the Bear Creek Town Hall with the meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M.by Chairman Marty McCluskey. Present included Harold Emerson and Jeff Scallon Supervisors; Tim McCluskey, Patrolman; Sheila Tafs , Treasurer ; Eric Nachreiner ; and Eileen Eberle, Clerk. The Minutes to the last meeting were read by the Clerk. Motion to approve as read was made by Harold Emerson , 2nd, and carried. The Treasurer’s report was presented by the treasurer. Motion to approve as presented by Jeff Scallon , 2nd , and carried. Road work for 2012 was discussed. Mowing being done and culvert work in township. Road bids will need to be let.. After July 1st Drea’s Bar Licenses will be issued by the end of June for the coming year. Liquor and beer for $200.00. Operator’s licenses for $5.00 each. Pat McCluskey is the owner and it will be issued to him. The Ward Cemetery Report is to be completed and sent to the county. The 2012-2013 propane contract is here and Marty to talk to company... The next town meeting is July 5,2012. The insurance audit to be completed and sent into the company. Primary recall election was held May 8th. Recall election was June 5,2012. The Governor retained his office.. The Quick Books payroll program was paid for in May. The mower payment was made. Frontier tax exempt papers came and need to be completed. The tobacco report needs to be completed and sent to the state. Even if we have no tobacco sales. Eric Nachreiner was present with ocncerns on how close the road is getting to his house and was informed road isn’t moving. Wants it so he can get to his lawn wothout a drop-off.. Bills were paid as presented and approved by the board. Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:20 P.M. was made by Jeff Scallon , seconded , and carried. Progress and time line. Bids were published on the roads. ______2. The Quarterly Reports are to be completed at this time and sent to their respective offices. ______3. The Town Board is to be paid at this meeting. ______4. 2nd half of the real estate taxes are due July 31st. ______5. Assessor and Board held Board of Review on June 7 th. There were no concerns.. . ______6. Planning Commission Committee members to be paid at the July meeting if owed. ______7. The Federal Insurance Audit papers for Rural Mutual s have been completed. Clerk completed the audit and submitted the papers and compilations. ______8.The Plain Fire Department made a resolution of NO fireworks permits to be issued in the district due to the drought and fire danger. Over the 4th of July. Many communities canceling their fire works.. ______9. Drea’s Bar Licenses of Liquor and Beer, were issued to Pat McCluskey and published in the papers. Check here and given to the treasurer. . ______10. The assessment after Board of Review is $56,910,500.00 and in compliance. ______11.Our piece of the TSX machine is here and the one of the company needs to be mailed back. ______12. A contract is here on signing up for 2012--2013 winter propane. Given to Marty. Board looking into prices ______13. Managed Forest check came in the amount of $1,239.56. 20% to be returned to the county. ______14. August meeting to be set for Tuesday August 7,2012. ______15. Ted Greenheck brought a driveway application to the board from Margaret Seymore and approved by the Planning Commission. Now to the board. ______16. The fire dues will come and we have to be turn this over to the 2 fire departments. ______17. St. Patrick’s Church applied for a 1 day license. We have to inform them a licensed bar tender needs to be there at all times. How are we going to handle this ? ______18. Roll Call Minutes to last meeting Treasurer’s report Agenda: _______1. Discussion on road work for the summer. Mowing also being done. _______2. Primary Recall Election held May 8th. Recall Election held Tuesday June 5,2012. The election board needs to be paid at this meeting for the Recall Election. _______3. The licenses for Drea’s Bar will be issued the end of June for next year. Clerk will publish notice in paper. _______4. Insurance Audit needs to be completed and sent during this month. This is for Workman’s Comp. and has to be all the wages for May to May , the insurance year. Getting much more precise. _______4. Many election papers are to be taken care of. Absentee ballots have a lot of paper work and tracking of ballots. The state wants the ballots overseas to be faxed or emailed at the August Primary. Several surveys have to be completed online for elections.. _______5. Board of Review was tonight June 7th at 6:00 P.M. Each board member will be paid $40.00 for the 2012 Board of Review. _______6. A bill came from Jim Kast for $687.50 for work on the roads. Being paid tonight. _______7. The propane contract for 2012-2013 winter season is here and to be signed and returned to the company.. We currently have $832.05 credit at the company. _______8. The Ward Cemetery report to the county needs to be completed on the veteran and sent to the county. This is perpetual care of David Ward’s grave, provided by President Abraham Lincoln following those who gave their lives in the Civil War for the Freedoms in our country..Was Sheley contacted on the care of the Ward Cemetery for 2012? _______9. The Quick-Books program was put on the clerk’s credit card billing as May 30th . The cost is $350.00. The clerk also paid for a coffee pot of $30.00 and she is being reimbursed for both of these at this meeting.. _______10. The date for the July meeting has to be set. _______11. Susan Vandergrift was added to the election board to replace Pauline Lins, who is ill. She was trained at the testing of the equipment meeting and worked June 5th. She had previously been on an election board where she lived. She was sworn in on June 3rd. _______12. The sheet came in the housing report for 2012 and the building inspector, given at the last meeting. Harold, is to complete this report. _______13. The clerk sent our stand for the TSX to the company to get repaired. We have a loaner until we get it back. Cost $45.70 to mail. Sent May 14,2012 _______14. The mower payment of $9,537.15 is due at this time and being paid tonight. We will then owe $8560.38 . _______15. The assessor will have a bill for expenses. _______16. The tobacco report needs to be completed for the state, even if we have no sales. _______17. .
